Amendments 2015

Amendment No. 1 of 2015

Amendment No. 1 of 2015 of the Practice Directions contains amendments to paragraph 11 on “Urgent applications outside of the Court’s office hours”  in Part II of the Supreme Court Practice Directions.

The amendments will take effect on 15 April 2015.

Supreme Court Practice Directions Amendment No. 1 of 2015

 

Amendment No. 2 of 2015

Amendment No. 2 of 2015 of the Practice Directions contains amendments to Parts I, IV and XII of the Supreme Court Practice Directions. Amendments to Appendices B and H and a new Appendix G are also introduced in this set of amendments. The amendments are summarised below:

  1. amendments to paragraph 7A on business of the Registry;
  2. amendments to paragraph 43 on applications for discovery or interrogatories against network service providers;
  3. the introduction of a new paragraph 99B on costs guidelines;
  4. amendments to Appendix B on Waiting Periods;
  5. the introduction of a new Appendix G on the Guidelines for Party-and-Party Costs Awards in the Supreme Court of Singapore;
  6. amendments to Appendix H setting out the names of the Registrar, Deputy Registrar, Divisional Registrars and Senior Assistant Registrars.

The amendments take effect on 1 June 2015.

Amendment No. 3 of 2015

Amendment No. 3 of 2015 of the Practice Directions contains amendments to Parts II, IV, VI, X, and XV of the Supreme Court Practice Directions. Amendments have also been made to Appendix A.  The amendments are summarised below:

  1. amendments to paragraph 11 on Urgent Applications on Weekends and Public Holidays;
  2. the introduction of a new paragraph 37A on Filing of Distinct Applications in Separate Summonses;
  3. the introduction of a new paragraph 63A on Lead Counsel’s Statement on Trial Proceedings;
  4. the introduction of a new paragraph 80A on Examination of Judgment Debtor;
  5. amendments to paragraph 121 on Applications to use the Technology Courts; and
  6. the introduction of new Forms 9A (Lead Counsel’s Statement on Trial Proceedings), 11A (Questionnaire for the Examination of (Name of Individual Judgment Debtor)) and 11B (Questionnaire for the Examination of (Name of Officer of Judgment Debtor)) under Appendix A.

 

The amendments will take effect on 15 October 2015.
