Mass Call 2015

Mass Call 2015 will be held on Saturday, 22 August 2015 at 10.00AM at the Singapore Expo.  All applicants who intend to seek admission during this year’s Mass Call should take note of the deadlines for the filing of the requisite documents as set out in the Legal Profession (Admission) Rules 2011.

The Mass Call Briefing will be conducted on Wednesday, 19 August 2015 at 10.00AM in the Supreme Court Auditorium (Basement 2). Attendance at the briefing is compulsory for all applicants seeking admission at Mass Call 2015. Applicants who do not attend the Briefing will have their call applications fixed for hearing at the next call hearing scheduled after Mass Call. The briefing will take approximately an hour.

Practising Certificate Applications Pending in April 2015

Please note that:

  • PC applications submitted during the month of March 2015 will, when issued, be dated 1 April 2015. PC applications submitted during the month of April 2015 will bear the date of its submission when it is issued.
  • PC applications submitted during the period from 1 March to 30 April 2015 may take up to 3 weeks from the submission date to process. Please file your PC application early.

Please also note that:

  • Under section 25(5) of the Legal Profession Act, "every practising certificate issued in the month of April shall be deemed to have been in force from the first day of that month".
  • In the event that your application for a practising certificate has been submitted and is pending processing, either by the Law Society or the Supreme Court, and you need to attend a hearing in Court, you may inform the Court of this and seek leave either to proceed with the hearing or for a short adjournment.
Applications for Practising Certificate for Practice Year 2015/2016

Applications for a practising certificate ('PC') for the practice year 2015/2016, commencing 1 April 2015 may be submitted from 1 March 2015.

A lawyer who wishes to apply for a PC is to submit the application through the lawyer’s personal eLitigation account or if the lawyer does not have a personal eLitigation account, the application is to be submitted through the CrimsonLogic Service Bureaux.

Law practices who are not eLitigation subscribers may also apply for eLitigation access limited to the PC Module of eLitigation only.

Lawyers are advised to apply for their practising certificate as early as possible.
Lawyers may refer to the Quick Filing Guides at the Reference Centre for step to step guides with screenshots and details.

Court Calendar 2015

It is hereby notified for general information that The Honourable the Chief Justice has directed that Legal Year 2015 will commence on Tuesday, 6 January 2015 and end on Friday, 4 December 2015. The mid-year court vacation will be from Monday, 1 June 2015 to Friday, 26 June 2015 and the end of the year court vacation will be from Monday, 7 December 2015 to Thursday, 7 January 2016.
