Applications for Young Amicus Curiae Scheme 2021 now open

The Supreme Court would like to invite new applications from advocates and solicitors for the Young Amicus Curiae Scheme 2021 ("the Scheme"). The objective of the Scheme is to allow young advocates and solicitors to assist the Court on novel points of law or important issues of public policy. Young amicus appointed under the Scheme may also be called upon to assist the Court in cases involving first-time prosecutions under new or amended provisions of the law.

The completed application form with all enclosures may be sent via email to in the form of a portable document format (PDF) file or to the Supreme Court Registry (Crime Section) in hardcopy. The subject of the email or the envelope should be marked "Young Amicus Curiae Scheme 2021 Application". The deadline for receipt of applications is 9 October 2020. Successful candidates will be notified by the Supreme Court.
