Appointment of Registrar and Deputy Registrar, Supreme Court

        The President has been pleased to appoint Mr Foo Chee Hock as Registrar, Supreme Court, and Ms Lim Yoon Cheng Audrey as Deputy Registrar, Supreme Court, with effect from 15 April 2009.

2      Mr Foo, age 49, joined the Supreme Court on 1 May 2001 as the Deputy Registrar, Supreme Court. Prior to his appointment as Registrar, Supreme Court, he was the Acting Registrar from 11 April 2008 to 14 April 2009.  Throughout his 25-year career with the Legal Service, Mr Foo had assumed various postings with the Ministry of Law’s Appeals Board (Land Acquisition) and the Legal Aid Bureau. Prior to joining the Supreme Court, Mr Foo was a District Judge at the State Courts. Mr Foo attained his LLB from the National University of Singapore in 1984. In 1989, he received his LLM from Queen’s College, University of Cambridge. He is married with two children.

3      Ms Lim, 37, attained her LLB from Cambridge University and has previously served as a Justices' Law Clerk, and District Judge at the State Courts. She is married and has two children.
