Unclaimed Funds in Court

The Supreme Court encourages parties who have unclaimed funds in the Court or in the Sheriff’s account to make claims to collect these monies promptly. Parties are advised to seek legal advice on the process for making such claims.  Such unclaimed funds will be transferred and paid to the Government for the general purpose of the State if no claims have been made and allowed for a period of 6 years.

The Accountant-General publishes in the Government Gazette a list of accounts which have not been dealt with for 4 years or more in January each year.
